Community Corporate Social Responsibility (or CSR for acronym fans) means that a business tries to behave ethically and to positively impact on the lives of employees and the local community.

Our Christmas parties are now well-established in Leicester and we are lucky to be able to work within the local community, giving our time or raising money to help local charities and community groups.

There are lots of different ways your business can get involved in the local community but here are some ways we at Vivid use our skills.

‘When I am’ Campaign at Derby College

This campaign highlights the aspirations of students and apprentices. It is designed to showcase the skills of young people already working as apprentices or those that will be looking for jobs in the near future. Vivid’s Managing Director Richard Longhill has given his time as a mentor for this scheme, and Vivid have also offered work experience in the hospitality sector for college students at events throughout the year as well as our Christmas Parties.

Children’s Parties in Leicester & Derby

Our evening guests are not the only ones who get to enjoy our spectacular Christmas Party at the Roundhouse in Derby and Athena in Leicester – each year we invite local schools for children with learning difficulties to come and enjoy an extraordinary end of year Christmas Party with us.

The team at Athena and The Roundhouse give their time, for free, and run this spectacular event with lots of energy and enthusiasm. The chefs prepare the delicious food, while management, our restaurant team, waiting staff and entertainers volunteer to serve food, chat with the children, perform, or help Santa – all while sporting a Christmas jumper or festive onesie! Our DJ soundtracks the party and the kids can’t wait to get on the dancefloor! Next Plc., who are based in Leicestershire, kindly donate gifts for Santa to present to the children as they leave. With our theming, lighting and music it’s a fantastic sensory environment for the children to experience, and with around 250 energetic kids, there is great party atmosphere!
